Thomas and Truelove Headstone Project

During the Murray Reunion, family members discovered that the graves of Thomas and Truelove Ward are missing.  We discussed this discovery at the reunion and resolved to remedy the situation. We consulted the cemetery sexton, Justin Jolley, and Justin gave us the following guidelines:

PERMISSION:

Get permission from the oldest living direct descendant of Thomas and Truelove Ward. REPORT: We have determined that Wilber’s son, Dewey Murray, is our oldest living direct relative, and Charlene is reaching out to him for written permission to place a stone on their graves.

ORIGINAL HEADSTONES:

Mr. Jolley probed the graves and determined that the original stones are no longer present.  Note: The cemetery record indicates that Thomas and Truelove are buried there.

REPLACEMENT STONES:

Mr. Jolley states that we must follow cemetery regulations in selecting replacement headstones, and that there is enough room to have either two separate stones or a double headstone using the “Standard Side by Side” dimensions on the “Spanish Fork City Cemetery Gravesite and Burial Policies and Procedures December 12, 2024” attached below.
